School Project: 4 - Fish "Sea Monster"

Topology and 3D sculpt pictures of my Sea Monster school assignment.
First time retopologizing, and using ZBrush, or sculpting at all.
~Work in Progress~

Compiled view of the different maps. I learned the hard way that Mental Ray do not support rendering to texture. this made the stitches in the UV maps have hard edges and weird bumps. Next time I will use scanline for rendering to texture.

Retopology in 3D Studio Max. This was first time retopologizing. We were told to try focus on getting circles around the areas which could be animated like the mouth, fins, and body.

Fish Retopology, AO, Wireframe - Turntable

Turntable of the Retopologized Sea Monster. I'm aware of the noise in this render, but it was the best I could get when pushing the deadline of my portfolio handing.
Rendering took 23 hours on my home PC.

Highpoly sculpt and polypaint. Working on this project I have learned a few things I need to consider next time. When ZRemeshing, the tail got chipped at the top, and the teeth had some problems when adding them to the main body.
